We have missed you very much. Each of you are an important part of our lives. Hopefully with this blog we can reconnect until we see each other at Iron Horse. It is our intention to have this blog for parents, children and BASE staff. We would love to have you participate. Children will need permission from their parents. We have planned for this Friday is a scavenger hunt. We are calling these activities our Busy Friday. It will be held on google groups. In order for people to participate we need an email send to Ms Robin (rdrobert1@dcsdk12.org) that you plan on joining us for Busy Fridays. Parents will need to add a written permission in the email that their child may do this. Make sure we have the correct email address for your child and/or for yourself. On google groups you will get a list of items to find around your house. The object of the game is to find all the tiems before the staff. If the children find them first then there will be a donut hole party when we get back to school. If the staff finds it first, I owe them a Starbucks. So lets see who will either get donut holes or Starbucks. WAIT! As an added bonus if a parent finds all the items before BASE staff then there will be coffee and donut holes for them and a donut hole for the children.
Who will be the first to find all the items?
Ms Rachel has put together the list and will be running the scavenger hunt on Friday.
Have you ever wondered about the BASE staff?
Ms.
Rachel loves running and watching movies with her dog Kona, a rescue from
Mexico. Her nicknames include Bubba, Bug, Bub, Bean, Bear, and Bologna. Her
favorite food is anything that falls on the floor except for carrots. Social
distancing is her new favorite activity because it means more time with Mama
Ms Ainsley:
Hey kiddos! I don't have a pet (sadly) so here's a picture
of my brother ;) I miss you guys soooo much!! I hope you're having fun doing
school at home! I'm doing school at home too, and I miss seeing my classmates
and teachers and especially YOU guys but it is pretty nice to sleep in ;)
When I'm not doing school work, I like to go for a walk, play tennis with my
sister, practice my hand-lettering (fancy handwriting), do embroidery, play the
piano, play card games with my family (have you guys played Taco Cat Goat
Cheese Pizza?! It is SO much fun!!), and call my friends! I hope you guys are
finding lots of things to do too! I hope you have an AMAZING day and I can't
wait to see all of your faces again!!
Mr. Alex:
“Hey Chicken Nuggets! This is Daisy
the French Bulldog who lives with me! She is very clingy and demands constant
love and attention so we’ve been passing the time with lots of cuddles,
fetching, and walks around the neighborhood. She’s very excited that I’m home
so much now but I miss seeing all of your bright happy faces everyday! I can’t
wait until we can hang out again doing crafts and gym games! I miss you all so
much!”
Mr. Villi and his dog.

Ms Robin:
This is my dog Roo.
She is a rescue from the Buddy Center.
When I adopted her she was covered in bites. She was very scared of people especially men
and you could see every bone in her body.
I like to take Roo with me to look for Bigfoot and she loves to go
camping. I have miss all of you so
much! I can’t wait to get back and do
puzzles and play trash with you.
Are you bored?
Do you want to make one of our favorite crafts? Make it and then take a picture of it. Then send it to Ms Robin (rdroberts1@dcsdk12.org) with parental permission and we will put it in our blog.
Lets see how many different types can be made. Remember the unicorn kitties? Let's see what you can make. Remember to color both sides and to use tape to put together.
To print out: Copy and paste it on Word on your computer. That was how I was able to print it out.
I tried to just paste it as a word document to this blog but could not. I will ask a tech savvy person for help next time.
Remember to check our blog on Friday. Hopefully we will have some kitties to show. We need your email by noon on Friday so we can invite you to our google group to do our scavenger hunt. Please remember: "Children we need
parental permission for you to participate."
Thank you for visiting our blog.
